At Logos, we affirm the following foundational truths of the Christian Apostolic faith:
1. The Scriptures
We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative
Word of God. It is the final rule of faith and practice for every believer.
(2 Timothy 3:16–17; 2 Peter 1:20–21)
2. The One True God
We believe in one eternal God, existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God
the Holy Spirit—co-equal, co-eternal, and co-existent.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
The Apostolic Creed (Apostles’ Creed)
We affirm the Apostolic Creed as a historic confession of the Christian faith:
“I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended to the dead.
On the third day He rose again;
He ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy Christian Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.”
3. The Lord Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God who became man without ceasing to be
God. We affirm His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, substitutionary death on the cross, bodily
resurrection, ascension, and soon return in glory and power.
(John 1:1,14; Luke 1:34–35; 1 Corinthians 15:3–4; Acts 1:9–11)
4. The Holy Spirit
We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who convicts, regenerates, indwells,
empowers, guides, and equips believers for godly living and service. We affirm the gifts of the
Spirit as valid and active in the Church today.
(John 16:7–14; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4–11)
5. Salvation
We believe that salvation is the gift of God, received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.
It is not earned by works but granted through repentance and faith in Christ’s finished work on the cross.(Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9–10)
6. The Church
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all born-again believers, called to worship God, grow in the Word, fellowship with one another, and proclaim the Gospel to all nations.(Matthew 28:19–20; Acts 2:42–47; 1 Corinthians 12:12–27)
7. Baptism & Communion
We believe in water baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith in Christ and in the
Lord’s Supper as a memorial of His sacrifice until He comes again.
(Matthew 28:19; Acts 2:38; 1 Corinthians 11:23–26)
8. Christian Living
We believe believers are called to live holy lives, empowered by the Spirit, reflecting the
character of Christ in love, humility, and obedience to God’s Word. (Romans 12:1–2; Galatians 5:22–25; 1 Peter 1:15–16)
9. The Blessed Hope
We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the
dead, and eternal life for the righteous and eternal separation from God for the wicked.
(Titus 2:13; 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17; Revelation 20:11–15)
10. Mission
We believe it is the duty and privilege of every believer to share the Gospel, make disciples, and
advance God’s Kingdom in the power of the Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 24:14; Acts 1:8; 2 Timothy 4:2)
